About The Position

Sanoh America, Inc has an opening for an experienced Quality Supervisor in the automotive manufacturing in Scottsboro, Alabama. This position does help support the Southern Sites locations and must be able to travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years Quality experience, preferably automotive.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of quality control systems and documentation
  • Working knowledge of statistical data collection and analysis tools (SPC, CpK, GD&T)
  • Effective analytical/problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving tools/techniques (8-D, 5-P)
  • Effective interpersonal skills (written and verbal communication)
  • Meeting leadership and facilitation skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to initiate and/or manage a variety of priorities and projects
  • Customer service skills, including negotiation
  • Working knowledge of auto industry
  • Intermediate statistical math and analysis skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Working knowledge of advanced measuring instruments (Surface roughness tester, Vision Optical Comparator, Digital Microscope)
  • Quality System Internal Auditor Certification
  • General MS-Office skills, including MS-Project; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for experience with customer interface.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring, supporting and improving manufacturing activities in order to sustain and/or improve the overall quality performance.
  • Responsible as direct customer liaison to lead cross-functional team for quality problem investigation, defect containment, determination of root cause, development and implementation of countermeasures, and follow up to confirm countermeasure effectiveness.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of all APQP and PSW process documentation to support and continuously improve all Quality systems.
  • Administers the investigation and resolution of internal and external quality concerns by going to the point of operation and troubleshooting the issue, determining root cause and feeding forward to other processes.
  • Supports the production department in all quality – related matters by providing direction when subject material is in question.
  • Supports current and new model programs by creating and maintaining all quality-related process documents and developing controls for such programs.
  • Provides customer and supplier support by performing proactive and reactive visits and supporting on-site and/or in-house sort activities.
  • Engineering process changes" creator and follower with customers of mass production parts/equipment to ensure the correct implementation and approval.
  • Performs gage reviews and/or calibrations, provides analysis of SPC or other statistical quality data by collecting, monitoring and reviewing the data for accuracy.
  • Supports IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 Quality Systems audits.
  • Coordinate and prepare customer visits and customer audits.
