About The Position

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Quality Supervisor for its Atlas Tube Blytheville, Arkansas plant. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role works directly with the Quality employees and Operations in Blytheville and assists in directing, overseeing, and managing the site Quality Department. The supervisor provides technical assistance to other departments, supports quality and technical groups at other facilities producing structural tubing, serves as the company’s technical representative for external complaints, and determines steel grade requirements with suppliers. The role also develops and implements quality policies for Atlas Tube Blytheville.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working in the Quality field in a Supervisor or higher role.
• Ability to review and understand product specifications and standards.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong computer skills.
• Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, dependability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with a Quality System such as ISO 9001.
• Experience with NDE inspection.
• Experience with API product.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Group in support of the Quality Manager.
• Cover for the site Quality Manager and Quality Leads during vacations.
• Maintain the lab and equipment in good condition and ensure calibration is performed.
• Back up and support inline NDT.
• Flex to all shifts as required; the primary shift is days.
• Ensure inspections are completed as required.
• Review and complete dispositions for nonconforming material and schedule rework.
• Assist in maintaining the quality management system.
• Liaise with customers about quality issues and product information.
• Liaise with the sales team regarding product information.
• Provide position-related training to Quality employees.
• Assist Shipping with inspections as needed.
• Travel as required.
• Lead and promote health and safety work practices in accordance with regulatory agencies and company policy.
• Provide technical assistance to other departments as required and support quality and technical groups at other structural tubing facilities.
• Act as the company’s technical representative on external complaints.
• Determine steel grade requirements with suppliers.
• Develop and implement quality policies for Atlas Tube Blytheville.
