About The Position

The Quality Supervisor oversees daily quality and laboratory functions within a dry-blend manufacturing environment. This includes supervising quality staff, managing testing procedures, maintaining product specifications, and supporting food safety programs such as HACCP and GFSI. The position works closely with production teams to ensure all finished blends and raw materials meet strict quality requirements. Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in quality, laboratory, or food safety roles; experience in dry-ingredient blending, food manufacturing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Experience with HACCP, GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, IFS, FS22000), SSOPs, and quality management systems is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations, FSMA, and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of dry-blend processing, raw materials, sanitation, and environmental monitoring.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software systems.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Quality Department staff, including scheduling, training, and performance development.
  • Oversee laboratory testing of raw materials and dry-blend finished products; conduct investigations and support method development.
  • Communicate quality issues to operations and leadership; assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and support LIMS/SAP data entry.
  • Manage and update product and raw material specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Support food safety programs including HACCP, sanitation, environmental monitoring, and GFSI certification requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations and verification of corrective actions.
  • Prepare testing schedules, maintain laboratory supplies, and ensure equipment calibration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality and food safety.
