About The Position

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials (MCAM) is a global leader in advanced materials and precision manufacturing solutions. We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead and develop a team of Quality Analysts supporting both manufacturing and customer requirements at our Mesa, Arizona site. This role is critical to ensuring products meet customer specifications, MCAM quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Supervisor serves as a technical expert in inspection, metrology, and quality systems while partnering closely with production, engineering, and leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of metrology, inspection methods, and GD&T
  • Experience with CMM operation and interpretation of results
  • Experience working with ERP systems and customer quality portals
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions

  • Associate degree preferred
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and develop a team of Quality Analysts to ensure consistent execution of inspection, testing, and documentation activities.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and goal setting to strengthen team capability and effectiveness.
  • Perform and oversee inspections using precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, optical comparators, gauge pins, gauge blocks, and CMMs.
  • Interpret results and determine product conformity.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, solid models, and GD&T requirements.
  • Leverage a strong understanding of machining processes to communicate findings and support corrective actions on the production floor.
  • Document nonconforming product in accordance with company directives.
  • Analyze issues, identify root causes, and support cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
  • Support ISO quality system documentation and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) and maintain calibration records in coordination with external service providers.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer quality matters, including participation in customer meetings and use of customer portals for document submission.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Summarize quality control data, apply basic statistical techniques for trending and analysis, and report results to site leadership.
