About The Position

The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for supervision of other Quality Associates, as well as performing in-process quality checks and testing, and ensuring Critical Control Points are met throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves performing post-cleaning swabbing and pre-operational inspections, supporting internal audits, foreign material inspections, and environmental monitoring. The Quality Supervisor will also assist in training other Quality Associates and Production Operators, acting as a subject matter expert in CCPs, GMPs, HACCP, recipes, and equipment operation. Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 to 7 years experience in quality within manufacturing facilities preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Relevant experience and training within the food industry.
  • Solution oriented: think through solutions & translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
  • Self-starter: a bias towards action and can thrive in a fast-paced constantly changing environment.
  • Forward thinking: see around corners & are always thinking of ideas on how to help improve processes.
  • HACCP Certification and/or PCQI for Human Food, or ability to achieve this certification.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Proficient in using IT office machines, Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Outlook, Zoom/Microsoft Teams teleconferencing software.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency of the English language.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all policies, procedures and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Handbook Supplements.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (experience will be considered in lieu of this requirement).
  • Proficiency in quality management software.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of other Quality Associates.
  • Performing in-process quality checks and testing.
  • Ensuring Critical Control Points are met throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform post cleaning swabbing and pre-operational inspections throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Performing and supporting internal audits, foreign material inspections, and environmental monitoring.
  • Assist in training other Quality Associates and Production Operators.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in CCPs, GMPs, HACCP, recipes and equipment operation.
  • Lead quality initiatives alongside the Quality Manager and assist in the implementation of continuous improvement of the quality system and Food Safety programs.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and testing throughout the manufacturing facility, including inspections of raw materials, labeling, in-process materials, and finished goods.
  • Conduct swabbing post cleaning for verification of cleaning effectiveness and allergen proteins.
  • Conduct Environmental swabbing and testing.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Wow Bao Food Safety Policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and standard operation procedures.
  • Document findings, report deviations, and work with cross functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate and perform internal audits and foreign material inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities.
  • Lead training for staff on quality control procedures, fostering and supporting a culture of quality awareness across the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in CCPs, GMPs, HACCP, recipes and equipment operation, leading training of other Quality Associates and Production Operators.
  • Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials.
  • Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
  • Multi-task calmly and effectively in a busy work environment.
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed.
