About The Position

The Quality Specialist will conduct post-extrusion audits, disposition material into finished goods inventory, and monitor critical profiles based on outflow risk. This role supports quality equipment functionality, troubleshoots issues, and communicates with the Quality Department and Operations regarding job status and priority. The specialist will assist in tracking trends, communicating compromised runs, and training floor associates on procedures and quality gauges. Additionally, they will support production in managing hold areas, understand containment activities, and demonstrate flexibility to support off-shifts and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Part print reading
• Detail-oriented
• Use of calipers and micrometers
• Internal candidates must have no attendance or discipline issues in the past year
• Must exhibit a positive and engaging attitude with associates, management, and other departments
• Computer skills needed: email and basic level Excel
• Basic knowledge of statistics and geometry
• Understand written and verbal instruction and communicate the same.
• Learn and retain information on products, operating procedures, quality requirements, set-ups, etc.
• Work well in a team setting.
• Able to lift loads up 50 pounds frequently and assist coworkers with heavier loads.
• Able to work on your feet for a 8+ hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post extrusion audits/ Disposition material into finished goods inventory
• Monitor critical profiles based on outflow risk (QA Hotlist)
• Support quality equipment functionality / troubleshooting (Bytewise, Keyence, length gauges, etc)
• Communicate with Quality Department & Operations regarding jobs running and job priority
• Assist in tracking trends or quality issues
• Communicate compromised runs to the Process, Production, and Quality Departments
• Assist in training floor associates on procedures & quality gauges / tools
• Assist Production to manage hold areas
• Understand and support containment activities
• Flexibility to support off shifts / weekends as needed
