  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

  • Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or equivalent)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document findings clearly for internal teams and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with quality software or ERP systems a plus

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of forged and machined components using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges)
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and customer specifications to verify dimensional and visual conformance
  • Develop, revise, and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action investigations using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa)
  • Write and manage NCRs (non-conformance reports), CAR/CAPA documentation, and disposition of nonconforming material
  • Collect, trend, and analyze quality data using SPC or equivalent methods; present findings to production and leadership
  • Support internal audits and customer/third-party audits; assist in maintaining ISO or AS quality management system requirements
  • Coordinate with production supervisors and leads to drive in-station quality habits and reduce defect escape rates
  • Assist in PPAP, FMEA, and first article inspection (FAI) activities as required by customers
  • Maintain calibration records and manage the facility’s gauge and measurement equipment program
  • Support safety and quality integration by identifying process risks that affect both product quality and employee safety
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by management
