We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Specialist to support our energy testing laboratory operations in Coppell, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to support the quality systems that ensure accurate, reliable, and defensible analytical testing of petroleum and energy products. You will help maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), support compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, NELAC/TNI, client, and internal requirements, and partner with laboratory and operations teams on audits, corrective actions, data quality, documentation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, regulated testing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 1+ year of professional experience in a quality, QA/QC, or quality systems role within an accredited laboratory environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, NELAC/TNI, or similar laboratory accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and LIMS

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting QMS documentation, audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 17025, NELAC/TNI, and internal standards
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation, participation, and follow-up actions
  • Investigate and track non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Review laboratory data, reports, and client deliverables to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance
  • Maintain and control quality documentation, including SOPs, method validations, and change records
  • Support proficiency testing (PT) programs and interlaboratory comparisons
  • Monitor instrument calibration, verification, and maintenance records
  • Assist with statistical quality control (SQC), data trending, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track and maintain training records and competency documentation
  • Ensure all systems, records, and documentation remain audit-ready
  • Collaborate with lab staff to reinforce quality procedures, GLP, and regulatory compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
