About The Position

Under general supervision, this position assists with supporting quality assurance, continual improvement, and risk mitigation activities for business units within the organization. This position is responsible for the daily auditing, interpretation, and correction of NERIS incident reports to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with federal and state reporting requirements. The role serves as one of the department's primary subject matter experts for NERIS data standards and engages directly with Operations personnel each day to resolve errors, clarify reporting requirements, and support accurate documentation practices. In addition to its core quality-assurance responsibilities, this position assists with designing, developing, and delivering training to Operations sworn staff to reinforce reporting standards and support continuous improvement. In addition to daily quality assurance activities, the position monitors NERIS data quality trends and maintains dashboards and data visualizations that support departmental awareness and decision making. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to communicate clearly with Operations personnel.

Requirements

Knowledge of continual improvement methodologies.

Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field related to the job, plus one (1) year of experience related to the job.
