About The Position

As the Quality Specialist, you will be the operational backbone of our quality program, supporting product investigations, testing, and launch readiness across manufacturing and lab environments. This hands-on role coordinates cross‑functional activity, maintains quality documentation and systems, and helps ensure products meet safety and specification standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, science based or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or laboratory roles.
  • Proven investigative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Hands-on lab experience with common techniques and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and how process changes affect product quality.
  • Proficiency with computer systems (Excel, Power BI, Quality and Complaint systems).
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and cross functional collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as HACCP, SQF, or ISO.
  • Working knowledge of alcohol regulations, including TTB requirements and labeling compliance.
  • Experience with regulatory audits or supplier quality programs.
  • Prior experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing
  • Ability to work on-site at our HQ in Philadelphia.
  • Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing and sample prep, and document results using standard lab techniques and equipment.
  • Support internal and external traceability audits.
  • Review and update supplier and co-packer quality documentation to ensure all records, certifications, and agreements remain current and compliant prior to expiration.
  • Support Director of Formulation in qualifying new co-packers and conducting annual quality performance evaluations for existing co-pack partners.
  • Collaborate with the Formulation team on shelf-life extensions and communicate to necessary parties.
  • Maintain and update quality systems including SOPs, batch records, specs, and complaint logs.
  • Support product validation and launch readiness by partnering with Production, Supply Chain, R&D, and Sales.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor quality metrics and trends.
  • Work with suppliers and external partners on investigations, specifications, and performance follow-up.
  • Coordinate investigations and documentation for nonconformances, customer complaints, and deviations; capture root cause, corrective actions, and closure.
  • Manage trackers and timelines to keep CAPAs, investigations, and launch activities on schedule.
  • Potential to travel to manufacturing, warehouse, and/or variety packing sites; may involve overnight travel depending on production schedules.

Benefits

  • Estimated Base Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 USD.
  • Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
  • The salary range refers to base salary only and is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
