About The Position

The role also owns regression tests and executes them manually or through automation as needed, documents best practices, mentors team members, and develops functional test plans. Requirements

• 5+ years of QA and test automation experience supporting large-scale, high-volume enterprise applications.
• Strong Java programming skills, with hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and debugging automation frameworks.
• Expertise in UI automation using Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Strong experience with REST API automation using Java and YAML configurations, and working knowledge of SOAP/SoapUI.
• 3+ years of SQL and backend/database testing experience, including Oracle and Cassandra.
• Strong knowledge of the end-to-end QA lifecycle, including test planning, automation, execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Experience with Octane, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and experience driving QA process improvements, including risk-based testing.
• Exposure to Copilot or AI-assisted development tools for automation and productivity.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Lead test planning, usually at the team level; for Scrum teams, ensure stories are refined and have clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead test case reviews and work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
• Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types.
• Execute manual and automated test cases and record results.
• Design test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met across test environments.
• Use testing tools and processes to complete testing in a given environment and perform steps needed to promote code to higher-level environments.
• Own and execute regression tests manually and through automation as needed.
• Support regression testing and automation activities through Java development and scripting routines.
• Develop, maintain, debug, enhance, and optimize a custom Java-based automation framework.
• Document best practices, mentor team members, and develop functional test plans.
• Triage defects and communicate test results.
