As a Quality Technician II 2nd shift earning $21.75 an hour plus a 7% shift differential you will perform quality inspection of Motor Graders, Medium Wheel Loaders, DV machines, and components of our machines. Emphasis is on fabrication, assembly and paint process inspection. Apply Caterpillar engineering drawings, Cat 1E specifications, and standards to judge conformance of NLR products. Requirements

  • At least one year of experience is required in one of the following areas: Quality Inspection, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Assembly, Paint, or Logistics.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional work experience, particularly in a manufacturing quality role, is highly desirable.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and Cat 1E specifications is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance is also desirable.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in SAP-ME, AQE, and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
  • Ability to use Teamcenter software to open and view CAD models of Prime Product and assemblies is highly desirable.
  • Experience using online Caterpillar drawings (in EPIX or PRWB) and 1E Specifications (in REDI) also highly desirable.
  • Experience in use of manual measurement devices (calipers, gauges, micrometers, and etc) highly desirable.
  • Understanding and experience with the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) or 8D issue resolution process is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.
