About The Position

Coordinates and performs preventive maintenance/calibrations on designated laboratory equipment throughout Neogen’s operation, ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA requirements related to equipment control and customer/regulatory expectations as part of Neogen’s Food Safety Division.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Professional experience using, maintaining, and/or calibrating laboratory equipment in an ISO and/or FDA-regulated environment required.
  • Perform repetitive hand movements requiring fine motor skills and finger dexterity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to grasp, hold, and manipulate laboratory tools and equipment.
  • Maintain good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to safely and accurately perform tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and prior laboratory experience preferred.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, and sit throughout the workday.
  • Occasionally bend and twist while performing job duties.
  • Rarely push, pull, crawl, kneel, or climb.
  • Occasionally distinguish colors when for equipment operation, testing, or documentation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance/calibrations on designated laboratory equipment.
  • Administration/use of Master Equipment Database.
  • Maintain annual certification of reference equipment required to properly calibrate in-house equipment.
  • Develop, maintain, and complete equipment-related documentation in compliance with cGMP and ISO requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with various people throughout the organization to ensure equipment-related requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with vendors on outsourced calibrations.
  • Review records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
