About The Position
The Quality Specialist II - Metrology Technician coordinates and performs preventive maintenance/calibrations on designated laboratory equipment throughout Neogen’s operation, ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA requirements related to equipment control and customer/regulatory expectations as part of Neogen’s Food Safety Division.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Professional experience using, maintaining, and/or calibrating laboratory equipment in an ISO and/or FDA-regulated environment required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and prior laboratory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance/calibrations on designated laboratory equipment.
- Administration/use of Master Equipment Database.
- Maintain annual certification of reference equipment required to properly calibrate in-house equipment.
- Develop, maintain, and complete equipment-related documentation in compliance with cGMP and ISO requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate with various people throughout the organization to ensure equipment-related requirements are met.
- Coordinate with vendors on outsourced calibrations.
- Review records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
