About The Position

The Quality Acceptance Specialist analyzes documentation from all stages of manufacturing to verify compliance with internal and contractual requirements. The role analyzes, consolidates, and imports data into reports submitted to customers. It requires strong attention to detail, sound decision-making and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team. The position is based at SubCom’s Newington, New Hampshire location and is listed as full-time, day shift. The role may require overtime and the ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strongly preferred: two or more years of related experience and/or training.
Strongly preferred: two or more years of familiarity with SubCom cable manufacturing and handling processes.
Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
Demonstrated leadership skills and a positive communication style.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to pass a written, job-related test.
Math skills including arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and the ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to perform statistical analysis and functions and work with conversion factors, formulas, and related calculations.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills for accurately explaining managed situations.
Flexibility to respond to multiple assignments and changes in responsibilities during the day.
Ability to speak, read, and write English with technical proficiency.
Ability to learn database tools and become productive within the prescribed period.
Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Responsibilities

Analyze product documentation, including written records and database data, to determine compliance with customer specifications using available support tools.
Track and document product history through accurate record keeping and charting.
Create factory acceptance reports based on project needs.
Perform statistical process evaluations when requested by the department.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with manufacturing, management, and customer representatives.
Follow instructions, accept increased responsibility, and remain accountable for actions.
Audit others’ work professionally.
Generate failure reports to track non-compliances.
Maintain quality awareness and assist with updating department documentation.
Follow safety guidelines, including PPE requirements, and communicate unsafe situations.
Meet organizational safety and quality standards, goals, and metrics while working in a team environment.
Represent the company positively when interacting with customers and visitors.
Promote job and process improvements, including through 5S and other improvement initiatives.
Respond to multiple production assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
Complete required training when requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
