About The Position

As a Quality Seed Analyst - Lubbock, TX, you will be responsible for all the quality control testing and data input activities in the Erskine QC Lab. There is a key emphasis on managing the day-to-day seed testing activities which include fuzzy and finished seed testing activities. Additionally, you will actively participate in all testing activities, ensure conformance to seed quality standards and handles data accumulation and entry, as well as being responsible for training and leading testing teams, proper calibration and operation of lab equipment and reporting all non-conforming results and understanding and communicating all SOP’s and Work Instructions.

Requirements

  • Hold a High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in an Agricultural related field (Preferred)
  • Have 3-5 years of work experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Quality Management.
  • Possess Agriculture or Seeds industry experience, with seed quality testing knowledge (Both preferred).
  • Are knowledgeable of SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Show knowledge and adherence to Safety, Stewardship, and Quality Management policies.
  • Have attention to detail to analyze results and capablility of following written procedures and be accurate with documenting information.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of Safety, Stewardship and Quality Management activities.
  • Utilize all computer systems for accurate and timely data entry, data review, and report creation.
  • Ensure all staff are performing testing accurately by evaluating competency, reviewing test results, identifying trends in the data, and observing testing process.
  • Troubleshoot challenges, create efficiencies, and identify projects for operational or Capital Expenditures with team members.
  • Outsource of testing with other laboratories.
