About The Position

As part of Richardson’s global agriculture and food business, our food and ingredients division plays a central role in connecting farm to table through our vertically integrated supply chain. Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for an FSQ Manager at our Winchester, VA pasta production facility, where we produce Ronzoni pasta. The FSQ Manager leads the plant’s food safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, and GFSI requirements. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Sanitation, vendors, and cross-functional teams to strengthen quality systems, support audits, resolve quality issues, and promote safe, compliant manufacturing practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a food-related field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biochemistry
  • PCQI certification
  • 7+ years of quality and/or food safety experience
  • 3+ years of project or team leadership experience
  • Experience with quality and regulatory requirements, including FDA, SQF, GFSI, and FSMA

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, training, execution, and verification of plant quality and food safety systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, SQF/GFSI, FSMA, and food safety requirements
  • Lead and participate in regulatory, customer, and internal audits, including follow-up and corrective actions
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external customers and investigate consumer and customer complaints
  • Develop and monitor plant sanitation and product safety programs to ensure a safe and wholesome product supply
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement practical solutions to quality issues
  • Support safe work practices and help drive safety, food safety, quality, and environmental expectations across the plant
