About The Position

The position of Quality/Safety Tech will be working closely with the Plant Quality/Safety Manager to ensure on-time production and delivery of products in the safest manner. Minimum of one years of experience in a related field.
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, ISO, Six Sigma.
Knowledge of OSHA or Safety related field.

Responsibilities

Work safely at all times, be aware of surroundings and understand and comply with Pratt Industries Safety rules, operating procedures, and help hold co-workers responsible for safety related items.
Participate in Plant Safety Committee.
Follow at all times GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes)
Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures and policies.
Stop bad quality from leaving the facility to the Customer.
Catch bad quality on the front end of manufacturing the product.
Prevent bad quality being sent to customer.
Be very involved in the complaint process for internal and external customers; entering, tracking, receiving complaint issues and resolutions to complaints or root cause analysis.
Perform process audits.
Data entry.
Manage and control documents (safety, training and quality).
Control non-conforming supplier defects and returns.
Manage sorting and reworks.
Manage weekly KPI's and/or compliances with CAR (corrective action reports).
Be responsible for PAR (Preventive Acton Reports).
