About The Position

The Quality/Safety Supervisor is responsible for promoting safety and maintaining quality metrics throughout the organization. This role involves ensuring safety walks are conducted, safety concerns are addressed, and safety documentation is managed. It also includes developing and maintaining ISO compliant processes, leading quality audits, and managing customer quality concerns. The position requires a strong understanding of both safety regulations and quality improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and cross functional interpersonal skills.
  • Consistently displays a positive, cooperative, self-motivated, and professional attitude.
  • Prior quality and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, initiative, and “can-do” attitude.
  • Must have the ability to foster positive relationships with customers, vendors, clients, and coworkers.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with MS Office products including MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring safety walks are conducted on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring all safety concerns are addressed in a timely fashion.
  • Managing and continuously improving all safety documentation.
  • Conducting quarterly reviews with Worker’s Compensation provider and addressing deficiencies.
  • Developing budget for safety related expenditures.
  • Review processes for safety improvements.
  • Enforcing all safety regulations.
  • Manage safety training program.
  • Managing/submitting First Reports of Injury to Workers’ Comp insurer.
  • Managing all OSHA/Bureau of Labor Statistics paperwork/reporting requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining ISO compliant processes and procedures.
  • Leading and managing all internal and external quality audits.
  • Maintaining quality metrics and keeping management informed.
  • Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing customer quality concerns including issuing RMAs and creating work orders for rework.
  • Ensuring existing processes are followed and taking corrective action when deficiencies are discovered.
  • Managing the Inspection Department including supervising inspectors.
  • Developing budget for all quality/inspection-related expenditures.
