About The Position

Schutz Container Systems, a global packaging and manufacturing company located in North Branch, New Jersey, is hiring an experienced Quality & Safety Manager for its steel plant. The position is responsible for the plant’s quality and safety programs. The manager provides on-the-job and classroom training, maintains the training matrix, supports internal and external audits, prepares required reports and records, and investigates and responds to customer complaints and accidents. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related QA/QC and safety experience in a high-producing, high-quality manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA and manufacturing safety procedures.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, including comfort speaking in front of groups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Plastics manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct informal on-the-job training and classroom training for employees.
• Maintain the training matrix and ensure tests and procedures are understood and carried out properly.
• Participate in and prepare for internal and external audits.
• Prepare reports, records, and other required documents and paperwork.
• Investigate and respond to customer complaints and accidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
