About The Position

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking a Quality Resident Liaison/Automotive Representative for a part-time position in Seneca, SC. This role is key to the success of TRIGO's Quality Resident Engineering business. The primary objective is to achieve the highest feasible standards in preventing and correcting issues to avoid official claims from the customer. The role involves providing technical support, managing quality issues, building strong professional relationships with the customer at the plant level, and acting as the customer's representative for production issues. The position requires immediate analysis of problems at the OEM's facility to find solutions, informing affected production plants of corrective actions, and providing continuous feedback on claim status. The representative will also participate in customer meetings, audit customer handling of TRIGO products, stay updated on technical and business topics, and report on competitor activities. Involvement in prototype builds, line trials, launch support, and engineering changes is also expected. The role involves representing the contracted partner and the customer's interests, coordinating repair and sorting activities, and ensuring all such activities are based on written confirmation from the client.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with plastic injection molding
  • Preferred experience with non-traditional vehicles such as motorcycles and Heavy Trucks
  • Sequencing of automotive parts (preferred)
  • Tier 1 experience (preferred)
  • Communication a plus with excellent problem solving and customer relationship skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through technical support, assistance with quality issues, and promotion of the contracted customer's reputation.
  • Build a strong professional relationship with the customer at the plant level.
  • Act as the contracted customer's representative, qualified to handle customer production issues and gain customer credibility through fulfilled commitments.
  • Ensure open communication between the OEM and the contracted customer.
  • Suggest improvements to both the OEM and the contracted customer.
  • Immediately analyze problems at the OEM's facility to find proper solutions and avoid claims, informing affected production plants of corrective actions.
  • Proactively channel information on existing claims to the Plant for analysis and resolution.
  • Provide continuous feedback to the customer on the status and evolution of existing claims.
  • Participate in customer meetings as required.
  • Seek continuous feedback on customer satisfaction with TRIGO's product and service.
  • Regularly audit how the customer handles TRIGO's products.
  • Stay trained and updated on technical, quality, and business specifics through regular meetings and visits to contracted partners.
  • Be aware of and transmit information about competitor projects or initiatives to the TRIGO Resident Liaison Manager.
  • Report regularly to the dedicated contracted partner's team or contact partner as defined by the supervisor.
  • Participate in prototype, pre-serial builds, line trials, launch support, and engineering changes at the customer's site as needed.
  • Represent the contracted partner and the customer's interests.
  • Coordinate repair and/or sorting activities on site, ensuring any sorting or rework activity is executed only based on written confirmation by the contracted client.
