About The Position

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking a Quality Process Control Technician to help maintain quality, safety, and productivity through hands-on work on the shop floor. The role ensures manufacturing and finishing processes are performed correctly and to high standards, and works directly with the Leadership Team with an opportunity for professional growth. The technician assists with quality-control methods and compliance in production, collaborating with Quality, Sales, and Production teams on new and existing processes. Duties include monitoring production data, identifying trends, supporting root-cause analysis and corrective actions, verifying and entering pricing in the ERP system, conducting quality reviews, building customer and process specifications and production steps into the system, planning parts not set up on auto-plan, processing annual pricing adjustments, and maintaining QA documentation and records. The role also includes internal audits and customer communication related to sales and quality. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following safety protocols. Triple Cities Metal Finishing provides surface-finishing services across numerous industries and operates a 125,000-square-foot facility with three shifts of skilled professionals. The company is ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, and NADCAP certified.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Keen attention to detail, accurate data entry, and adherence to exact procedures.
Clear verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with production operators and managers.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify floor-level issues and suggest practical corrective steps.
Basic math and computer skills, and ability to use specialized testing tools, gauges, and machinery.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions.
Dedication to ensuring parts meet customer and certification quality standards.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in a technical discipline or relevant technical certification.
Hands-on experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, assembly, or a related industrial environment.
Quality-control or quality-inspection experience and familiarity with standard quality-control procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist in executing quality-control methodologies to ensure production processes comply with quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Work with Quality, Sales, and Production teams to support new production processes and improve existing processes.
Monitor production data and assist with identifying trends, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Verify pricing against quotes and enter pricing into the ERP system.
Conduct quality reviews for all orders.
Build customer and process specifications into the system, adjusting steps to match shop-floor processes.
Build new processes in the system, entering assets and operational instructions for each step.
Assist with planning parts not set up on auto-plan, including verifying new parts.
Process pricing adjustments for yearly increases.
Apply quality standards to minimize day-to-day process variation on the floor.
Assist with developing, entering, and maintaining QA documentation and quality records.
Conduct internal audits.
Communicate with customers regarding sales and quality.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety guidelines and protocols.
