About The Position

The Quality & Compliance Registered Nurse (RN) supports the organization's commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, compliant, and patient-centered hospice care. This position is responsible for monitoring clinical quality outcomes, conducting audits, supporting regulatory readiness, facilitating performance improvement initiatives, and promoting compliance with hospice regulations and accreditation standards. The Quality & Compliance RN collaborates with hospice leadership and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional care delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement. Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience
  • Hospice nursing experience
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
  • Current CPR/BLS certification maintained throughout employment
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation and Colorado state regulations
  • Understanding of hospice quality measures, QAPI requirements, and performance improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of hospice documentation requirements, eligibility criteria, certifications, and recertifications
  • Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret regulations and apply them in operational and clinical settings
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Experience with hospice quality improvement, compliance, auditing, survey readiness, or regulatory oversight
  • Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or other relevant certification
