With a competitive pay range of $25.50 - $27.50 per hour , you'll enjoy a rewarding experience while contributing to a high-performance team. Your schedule will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6am - 6pm.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in basic math, biology, and chemistry to accurately assess and analyze product quality.
  • Keen attention to detail is essential for identifying deviations from our strict GMPs and safety protocols, ensuring that every ingredient and finished product adheres to our high standards.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills are crucial, as you'll collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of quality and safety.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is necessary to manage raw materials and samples.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and perform other physical activities required in a manufacturing environment.
  • Climb and descend stairs and ladders safely and routinely, including accessing elevated work areas and equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate or work from a scissor lift to access elevated equipment and production areas for inspection, verification, and environmental or sanitation sampling
  • Maintain balance and stability while working on elevated platforms, stairs, ladders, and uneven or wet surfaces, as applicable.
  • Work in varying environmental conditions, including areas that may be hot, cold, wet, humid, noisy, or subject to temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and verify that all plant departments and employees adhere to company quality standards, food safety requirements, policies, and established procedures.
  • Collect samples and perform required testing to evaluate the basic physical, chemical, and biological properties of ingredients, formulations, packaging, and other associated materials.
  • Accurately record, evaluate, and report test results to support the acceptance, approval, rejection, or disposition of materials and products.
  • Identify and communicate quality, sanitation, and food safety concerns to appropriate personnel and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare, maintain, monitor, and track plant quality and food safety documentation and records.
  • Provide training, instruction, and guidance to plant employees regarding sanitation, GMPs, food safety, quality standards, HACCP requirements, allergen control and related procedures.
  • Accurately prepare and maintain departmental forms, records, and documentation.
  • Monitor the completion and accuracy of required paperwork by other departments, promoting consistent and effective recordkeeping throughout all plant areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections and verification activities to ensure compliance with established quality and food safety standards.
  • Communicate findings and trends to management and appropriate department personnel in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify and manage nonconforming materials and products by placing appropriate holds, initiating and documenting investigations, and releasing product once quality and food safety requirements have been verified and met.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, food safety, sanitation, documentation, and production efficiency.
  • Additional customer relation specific projects when needed
  • Perform other quality-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
