About The Position

The Quality Manager oversees the quality of our company's manufacturing output. The quality manager will ensure our manufacturing processes are consistent to meet government industry standards and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • A degree in business management, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years in the manufacturing quality management field.
  • Proficient/ strong communication skills; written, computer, verbal, phone/web conference, etc.
  • Proficient with MS Office software; Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Familiarity with GM, Ford, & Chrysler's automotive supplier requirements
  • ISO/TS 16949 Auditor training certificate
  • Efficient time management/ multi-tasking/ team working skills in a high pressure Environment
  • Experience leading and managing employees/ teams
  • Strong ethical and moral convictions
  • Able to pass a pre-employment, post-offer physical, drug screen
  • Able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Customer Concern Management; responsible for receiving, tracking, assessing, and responding to customer issues. Responding in 24 hours and closing on-time with a competent response, including customer / supplier visits to identify root cause and actions.
  • Internal Quality Concern/ DMR Candice process management for timely and appropriate containment, disposition, corrective action, and analysis.
  • Audit System Compliance: IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, & Customer Specific; this includes Root Cause, Corrective, and Preventative Action. Implementation; and Preventive Action responses to all quality concerns and audit non conformances. (5Y/8D/DDW, etc.)
  • Develop/ Maintain SOP's/Operator Work Instructions; conduct training as appropriate.
  • Manage/ Maintain Process Control Plans, PFMEA's and RPN Reduction Plans.
  • Conduct/ Manage Layered Audit program to assure control plan adherence/ applicability.
  • Manage Continuous Improvement process/QOS; utilizing customer feedback, internal isolations, and sort fall out details. Including Cost of Poor Quality and other key quality metrics.
  • Support Shop Floor Operations; including daily management of process compliance, supporting operators with troubleshooting issues that may arise.
  • Conduct / Support Management Review Process; Continuous Improvement and ISO/TS 16949 Compliance.
  • Support New Business APQP/PPAP process; Gage MSA; SPC/ Cpk/Ppk process/ New Part Set up in SRP (shop floor database)
  • Quality Leadership/ Foster culture of TEAMWORK; Lead and support the cultural change in the quality function, from detecting and responding to quality issues, to one that prevents issues from occurring in the first place.
