The Quality Manager, CRO is responsible for ensuring that the division's and vendors' quality systems consistently meet or exceed customer requirements, FAA, EASA, and CAAC Part 145 regulatory compliance, AS 9100 structure, special processes (Nadcap), and other industry-appropriate requirements. This role involves promptly addressing quality issues, ensuring quick and effective root cause analysis and actions to minimize customer impact and prevent recurrence. The Quality Manager will maintain strong communication with customers, the internal management team, and vendors to ensure quality levels meet expectations. They will also support Engineering in setting work processes, ensuring 'built-in quality' and 'inspecting quality in' steps are optimized. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and analyzing process/product outputs, identifying systemic problem/opportunity areas, providing data to divisional teams, and collaborating with team members to drive process improvement towards zero-defect quality performance. The Quality Manager will actively participate in the Quality Council team to share and adopt company best practices, increase quality skill bench strength through education, coaching, and mentoring in inspection methods, auditing, root cause corrective action, and Six Sigma philosophy, methodology, and tools. This position leads the expansion and sustainment of Barnes Aerospace's quality culture throughout the entire value chain and manages the divisional cost of quality to optimize return on investment.
