About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Function at our Budd Lake, NJ facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and evaluating quality process and system standards to ensure compliance with company standards and governmental regulatory requirements. Establishes department policies, control processes, and quality programs within overall direction set by senior management. Exercises judgment in dealing with unusual cases or those involving significant cost. Manages Quality, provides support for Production and Development Programs, ensuring compliance to Customer Quality Requirements and adherence to the AP&N Quality System. Ensures protection of the customer regarding product quality and ensuring contract requirements are met. This includes ensuring/verifying the quality of product inputs and the quality of product outputs.

Requirements

  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other high‑reliability industries.
  • Nonconformance Management (NCR/MRB )
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS) Leadership
  • Export Control Awareness (ITAR/EAR)
  • AS9100 Rev D & ISO 9001 Standards
  • Quality Metrics & KPI Development
  • Government Contract Compliance
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Supplier Quality Management & Development
  • BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical)
  • 7-10 years' experience in quality management/leadership role
  • Knowledge of industry standards for PCBA and mechanical components (e.g., IPC, MIL, and J-STD)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with suppliers, team members, and management
  • Highly proficient in planning, managing, and overseeing quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality strategies, policies, and objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee internal, external, supplier, and regulatory audits, ensuring successful outcomes and timely corrective actions.
  • Direct CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
  • Lead quality risk management activities to minimize operational and compliance risks.
  • Manage document control, change control, deviations, nonconformance investigations, and complaint handling processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee supplier qualification, audits, and performance management to ensure supply chain quality
