Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of quality management experience in plastic manufacturing or similar industry
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and defect prevention techniques
  • Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality software (e.g., Minitab, ERP/QMS systems)

Responsibilities

  • Own the Quality System; assess the current state, build out formal documentation, and drive organization-wide compliance to it
  • Develop and continuously improve Quality Procedures and Control Plans based on customer requirements and business needs
  • Manage documentation related to quality reports, product testing, and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise quality inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
  • Monitor product quality against internal standards and customer requirements, including dimensional accuracy, appearance, durability, and environmental compliance
  • Work with production to establish quality checkpoints, inspection procedures, and process improvements
  • Ensure lab equipment is functioning as expected, including managing the annual calibration process
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and returns; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (8D)
  • Conduct regular audits of processes, products, and systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Lead internal teams in preparing for 2nd- and 3rd-party audits; close out any resulting corrective actions
  • Ensure supplier quality through audits and incoming materials inspection
  • Lead and coach the quality assurance team, providing training and performance feedback
  • Champion a culture of quality across the organization through communication and engagement
