Quality Manager
About The Position
Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is looking for a Quality Manager to join our team at our Rhinelander location. In this role, you'll lead quality initiatives, support a great team, and help ensure the products we produce meet the highest standards for customers you already know and trust. As our Quality Manager, you'll serve on the Plant Leadership Team and own the quality function at the facility level — from lab operations and customer relationships to ISO management systems and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact leadership role where your expertise directly protects our customers, empowers our associates, and drives operational performance.
Requirements
- Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 system administration
- Experience with Food Safety systems (ISO 22000, SQF, or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of statistical quality control and lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate manufacturing areas; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; PPE required in designated areas (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)

Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 Quality Management Systems
- Oversee QC Lab operations, calibration programs, and test method development
- Drive customer complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Manage supplier quality issues and incoming material performance
- Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant
- Support new product commercialization by establishing quality standards from development through launch
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing quality team
- Serve as the plant's primary quality contact for customers, auditors, and suppliers
