Chemours is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and manage our site quality performance! This position will report directly to the Plant Manager in our New Johnsonville, TN location. The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and sustaining site wide quality systems, policies, and performance to ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and corporate requirements. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the Quality Management System (QMS), laboratory operations, customer quality interface, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager serves as a key member of the plant leadership team and acts as the primary liaison between site operations, corporate quality, and customers on quality related matters.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations, maintenance practices, equipment, and safety fundamentals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, practical terms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to effectively listen, understand trainee needs, and address concerns in a constructive manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Organizational Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field.
  • Experience with skills-based qualification systems, job task analysis, or performing training needs assessments.
  • Prior experience delivering technical, safety, or operational training in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with a learning management system (such as Vector).
  • Experience developing innovative training programs using multi-media authoring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence through all training activities.
  • Conduct job analysis for a variety of Operations positions to determine initial and continuing training needs.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop, administer, and deliver site training programs, materials, and job aids using a variety of methods (classroom, field-based, hands-on, blended learning) that comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and record-retention requirements.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with site and record-retention requirements.
  • Integrate real-world, plant-specific situations into the training; and monitor changes to plant, procedures, or jobs to keep training up-to-date.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and performance data.
  • Facilitate both initial qualification and refresher training as required by site standards and regulatory programs.
  • Support on-the-job training by coaching and guiding subject matter experts and peer trainers.
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, which may include serving as a PSM element lead or backup lead as needed.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with site and record-retention requirements.
  • Apply adult learning principles to develop training materials, job aids and performance support tools.
  • Participate and assist in preparation of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits.
  • Actively participate on site and corporate safety and training networks.
