The Quality Manager is responsible for interpreting, implementing, and maintaining the quality and environmental ISO standards where appropriate. The position is also responsible for coordinating with the department heads to maintain an effective quality system; maintain the labs in full compliance with regulatory requirements, business controls, quality, environmental and customer requirements. This position should provide technical and chemistry-based support for product quality, contamination investigations, blending issues, process deviations, and customer concerns, and lead root cause investigations involving product quality, laboratory results, raw materials, manufacturing processes, and customer complaints, utilizing chemical and analytical troubleshooting techniques. Control nonconforming products until deficiency is corrected. Also responsible for overseeing all quality department operations at the facility. Must be able to minimize negative impacts to the environment in all areas of operation. The Quality Manager also identifies and records problems (non-conformances, incidents and near misses); initiate, provide, implement, and verify solutions to those problems. Must ensure continuous improvement in all areas pertaining to the job which include quality, health, safety, security, and environmental.
