About The Position

Advanced Blending Solutions LLC of Wallace, MI is looking to hire a full-time Quality Manager to join our team. This is a salaried position with pay dependent on relevant experience. Based in the heart of rural Menominee County, MI, we are a privately-owned full-service designer and manufacturer of blending and convey equipment for the plastics industry. We have state-of-the-art fabrication, machining, and panel-building facilities in Wallace. Requirements

• Knowledge and ability to follow ISO 9001 Standards
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
• Ability to effectively coach and supervise others
• Leadership ability and professional image including strong work ethic, self-confidence, trustworthiness, and the ability to coordinate responsibilities
• Use of independent judgment, discretion, logic, and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving
• Bachelor's degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing or related field
• 5 or more years of experience in quality assurance with a strong understanding of mechanical assembly, fabrication, machining, and electrical systems
• Experience with a quality management system for document control, non-conformance, CPA record keeping (Unipoint preferred)

Responsibilities

• Leading the organization's quality assurance system and ensuring all products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations.
• Overseeing internal audit programs, quality documentation systems, and performance metrics to ensure accurate reporting and continuous improvement.
• Driving problem-solving efforts, managing corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring timely and effective closure of quality issues.
• Providing direction and oversight for calibration systems and equipment validation to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability.
• Leading the non-conformance process by ensuring thorough investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective corrective actions within the quality management system.
• Reinforcing a culture of safety by ensuring quality processes support safe operations, compliance with procedures, and proactive risk reduction throughout the organization.
