About The Position

The Quality Manager at the Groeneveld-BEKA Dayton facility provides on-site quality leadership and is responsible for ensuring consistent compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. The Quality Manager will establish key quality metrics and controls currently not in place, support customer expectations for dedicated quality management presence, and enable faster response to quality issues—minimizing production disruptions and improving on-time delivery and overall customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive quality experience in a similar manufacturing or assembly environment; prior experience in automotive, heavy industrial, or related sectors preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, etc.).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement quality metrics and controls.
  • Experience leading audits and managing customer interactions related to quality.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on-site full time at the Groeneveld-BEKA Dayton facility.
  • Minimum Highschool diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with quality tools and software is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership and ownership of the facility’s quality system, ensuring adherence to customer, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and work instructions in alignment with corporate and customer requirements.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and drive corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances, audit findings, and customer complaints to reduce operational and financial risk.
  • Establish and roll out quality metrics, controls, and dashboards where gaps currently exist; monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead internal and external audits, coordinate responses to audit findings, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary quality point of contact for key customer orders.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and cross-functional problem-solving activities.
  • Support production teams to minimize disruptions due to quality issues and ensure product release meets specifications.
  • Oversee supplier quality activities relevant to the facility, including evaluation, incoming inspection requirements, and supplier corrective actions when applicable.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality expectations, inspection methods, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Maintain records and documentation necessary for compliance and customer requirements.
  • Drive initiatives that improve on-time delivery, reduce rework and scrap, and increase customer satisfaction.
