About The Position

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their Energy and Infrastructure team in Downers Grove, IL. This role specializes in delivering complex, turnkey projects nationwide across various markets including power, water and wastewater treatment, renewable energy, and other infrastructure-intensive sectors. The Quality Manager will support project teams from preconstruction through turnover, ensuring work is executed correctly, documentation is maintained, and quality expectations are met by field teams and project partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Structural Engineering preferred or 4 years of Technical education, or equivalent field experience in QAQC or Commissioning
  • 5–10 years of experience in QA/QC within Industrial or Water Treatment construction
  • Ability to travel to project sites approximately 25% of the time
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and inspection processes
  • Prior experience with Cast-in-Place Concrete system is required
  • Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems required
  • Familiar with construction practices and principles
  • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to successfully work on own
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with different types of individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with construction/commissioning software such as Procore and CxAlloy a plus
  • Certifications such as CQM, ASQ, CxA, or PMP a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans for assigned projects
  • Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with specifications and codes
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors on quality standards across multiple projects
  • Manage documentation of inspections, testing, and corrective actions
  • Lead quality-related meetings and provide updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and resolve quality issues proactively
  • Assist in training project teams on QA/QC best practices
  • Act as the bridge between design and construction teams; coordinate system design and installation with clients, subcontractors, and equipment vendors to ensure seamless turnover of a controlled environment project
  • Serve as the technical engineering resource for the project team
  • Effectively convey information to onsite superintendents and subcontractors using employee’s knowledge of the project’s systems
