Quality Manager - Manufacturing

Apogee Enterprises, Inc.Mesquite, TX
Hybrid

About The Position

As a Quality Manager you will own quality across two manufacturing sites and build the system that keeps product, process, and people aligned to customer expectations. This is a hands on leadership role for someone who knows how to step into an environment with limited structure and create the playbook. You will lead inspectors and quality leads on the floor, partner closely with Operations and Engineering, and establish a quality management system that drives consistency, accountability, and confidence across both plants. If you have built or rebuilt quality programs in custom fabrication, precision manufacturing, façade, curtainwall, or engineer to order environments, this is where you get to do it again with full ownership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in manufacturing quality in curtainwall, façade, precision fabrication, assembly, or engineer to order environments
  • 2+ years leading people in a quality or manufacturing setting
  • Experience building or improving a quality system, not just maintaining one
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Knowledge of mechanical inspection methods, tolerances, and finishes
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards
  • A confident communicator who can lead on the floor and in leadership meetings
  • Someone comfortable working in a highly customized, low standard work environment
  • An entrepreneurial, roll up your sleeves leader who can bring structure, clarity, and operating rhythm to the business
