About The Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and performing all necessary quality functions to ensure that quality requirements are met in the design, production, and delivery of Maverick's products. As Maverick's primary quality representative, the candidate is expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system ensuring compliance with AS9100 as well as other regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role will be further responsible for ensuring product quality through proactive planning, process control, and a range of verification methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional groups including Engineering, Program Management, and Customers with minimal assistance.
  • You must be a US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements including AS9100, ISO9000 and/or AS9003.
  • Experience in aerospace and defense industry including requirement flow downs.
  • Experienced with AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR)
  • Previous industry related certifications including Hardware Torquing, Adhesive Bonding, and Polymerics.
  • Understanding of engineering requirements including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Quality inspection background preferred
  • Experience with non-destructive test/inspection methods
  • Experience with dimensional inspection
  • Understand IPC structure for PCB, PCBA, and cable harness
  • Familiar with J-STD-001 soldering standard

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production to ensure quality requirements are integrated into product design, production, and delivery.
  • Foster a culture of Quality excellence, encouraging employee engagement, training, and development to ensure a skilled and competent workforce.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management and production to identify and mitigate quality risks
  • Lead MRB, determine root cause, and drive corrective actions
  • Conduct internal quality audits
  • Perform supplier audits and review supplier documents for compliance to quality requirements
  • Compile product end-item data packages
  • Develop Project Quality Plans based on project specific and QMS based requirements.
  • Conduct Incoming inspection to ensure traceability of parts and materials
  • Review supplier sampling inspection reports
  • Investigate nonconforming materials, generate NCR to document defects
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection of hardware per build work instruction
  • Verify in-process and final test results per test procedure
  • Ensure completeness of build & test documentation, generate CoCs
  • Scan and archive all applicable records and objective evidence
