About The Position

This role acts as a temporary quality representative on the production floor, ensuring continuity of inspections, documentation, and line support during technicians’ absences. The technician will coach production operators on product conformity and Good Documentation Practices, making corrections immediately at the source. They will also coach production personnel on "retail readiness." The position involves performing tests on finished goods according to written procedures, including Side Seam Bond Strength, Tab Shear and Peel Strength, Elastic Creep and Elongation, Dimensional Measurements, and Visual Defects. Defects must be immediately reported to Production/Quality Group Leaders, who are responsible for escalating issues that could jeopardize customer satisfaction. The technician will assist and guide in quarantining suspect products, enter test data into Quality databases, observe Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety procedures, and complete special assignments delegated by the Quality Group Leader.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Must maintain all training requirements of the quality line technician
  • Must be able to read and interpret work documents
  • Must have the ability to work in teams
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math
  • Must have the ability to adapt to frequent changes
  • Must have normal mobility, strength, dexterity, visual, and auditory abilities.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for a long period of time.
  • Must be able to work overtime or on a different shift if required.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Computer and statistical skills as applicable to quality control inspection in the manufacturing field.

Responsibilities

  • Immediately report defects to the Production/Quality Group Leaders.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to quarantine any product suspect of being defective.
  • Enter test data in Quality databases, when applicable.
  • Observe Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety procedures.
  • Complete special assignments delegated by the Quality Group Leader.
