About The Position

This is a Senior Quality Engineer role focused on providing quality assurance support and refining production methods. The role involves analyzing data to drive continuous improvements in supplier products and developing methods for testing, sampling, and training to ensure standards are met. The Quality Lead will design and create complex and innovative methods to uphold required standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years related experience as a Quality Engineer
• Experience working in automotive manufacturing
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, administer, and perform the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.
• Complete and document all phases of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
• Prepare and submit all necessary PPAP documentation per AIAG guidelines.
• Develop gauge concepts and procure gauges for specific programs.
• Work with component and tooling/equipment suppliers to improve products and resolve manufacturing problems, which may involve travel to customer or supplier locations.
• Participate in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT’s).
• Participate in internal audits as required.
• Train Quality and Production personnel in Quality requirements relating to specific programs.
• Support the Product Introduction Process through all phases of prototype fabrication and delivery.
