About The Position

The Quality Lead ensures that all finished goods produced meet customer specifications and requirements by effectively training Quality Team members and leading their work, as well as enforcing compliance with GMPs and internal SOPs. This position is responsible for participating in audits to ensure customer conformance to specifications and that expectations are met. The Quality Supervisor will provide coverage in the absence of the Quality Lead to ensure adequate resources are available to achieve food safety and food quality objectives and support the development, implementation, maintenance and on-going improvement of the Food Safety and Quality Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Quality Department in a positive and consistent manner
  • Thoroughly understand and able to serve as a backup to perform regular quality audits on production lines
  • Complete required documentation correctly and accurately
  • Follow, train, and enforce company processes and procedures
  • Assist in managing the site’s Quality Management System (QMS). This includes uploading training documents, reviewing procedures/forms, etc.
  • Participate and/or facilitate internal/external audits
  • Perform internal audit (Quality / Safety / Sanitation / Efficiency / etc.)
  • Responsible for verification of all production records (PTS) cross shift
  • Responsible for managing Production and Quality paperwork filing.
  • Serve as a back up for Printing code date labels and other labels.
  • Verify-Release IRC/tear pads as necessary
  • Serve as backup for incoming corrugate inspections. Release inspected corrugate in WMS.
  • Assist with investigations to determine possible reason for variances
  • Able to respond to quality related issues as they arise at the site. Able to communicate and escalate the situation as necessary.
  • Document NCRs in QMS and assist with root cause analysis for completion
  • Prepare samples to customers as necessary
  • Participate in Pre-Production Meetings (PPMs) and First Production Approvals (FPAs)
  • Perform tasks to verify a site’s critical control points (i.e. temperature verification tasks, daily thermometer verifications, etc.)
  • Communicate Menasha hold request to the customer as necessary.
  • Respond to customer hold requests as necessary.
  • Coordinate Special Service Request (SSR) process. This includes authoring protocols and reviewing paperwork
  • Coordinate Rework process. This includes authoring protocols and reviewing paperwork
  • Properly complete departmental documentation and data such as logs
  • Serve as a member of the site’s Recall, Self Improvement Program (SIP) and HACCP teams as necessary.
  • Perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
