About The Position

The Quality Lab Technician will perform testing and analysis of products utilizing measurement fixtures/gages/equipment. This role requires understanding and implementing customer, ASTM, and other testing requirements. The technician will identify suspect product, disposition it accordingly, communicate findings, and assist in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, the role involves developing PPAP data and related forms, providing support to Quality Engineering, performing gauge R&Rs, maintaining 5S conditions in the lab, and fostering strong working relationships across departments. A key aspect of this role is the ability to read and interpret blueprints in both English and Metric, with a basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and perform basic statistical analysis using MS Office and Minitab.

  • Maintain & improve 5S conditions in the lab.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships between cells/departments to promote exchange of ideas.
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints in English & Metric including basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Perform basic statistical analysis.
  • MS office proficiency including use of Minitab.
  • Must be willing to work extra hours if needed.
