About The Position

This role involves performing testing and analysis of products using measurement fixtures, gages, and equipment. The technician will understand and implement customer, ASTM, and other testing requirements, identify suspect product, and communicate findings to assist in problem-solving and continuous improvement. The position also includes developing PPAP data, supporting Quality Engineering, performing gauge R&Rs, maintaining 5S conditions in the lab, and fostering inter-departmental relationships. A key aspect is the ability to read and interpret blueprints in both English and Metric, with a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Basic statistical analysis and MS Office proficiency, including Minitab, are also required. The role may require working extra hours as needed.

Requirements

• Equivalent lab experience
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints in English & Metric including basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• MS office proficiency including use of Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and analysis of products utilizing measurement fixtures/gages/equipment.
• Understand customer, ASTM and other testing requirements and implement successfully.
• Identify suspect product and disposition accordingly.
• Communicate findings to appropriate personnel and assist in problem solving & continuous improvement.
• Develop PPAP data and related forms.
• Provide necessary support to Quality Engineering.
• Perform gauge R&Rs to reduce variability in measurement devices.
• Maintain & improve 5S conditions in the lab.
• Develop and maintain close working relationships between cells/departments to promote exchange of ideas.
• Perform basic statistical analysis.
