About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, aiming to deliver fast, reliable internet globally. The Quality Assurance team is focused on developing a scalable quality system for aerospace components. Requirements

  • 2+ years of software QA testing work with writing the test plans, use cases, and issue reports experience.
  • 3+ years of consumer electronics lab environments experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in software QA testing including writing test plans, use cases, and issue reports.
  • Experience in a consumer electronics lab environment.
  • Experience working on a consumer hardware or software product.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum due to export control laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running user trials, beta, field testing or collecting customer feedback.
  • Experience working with hardware and software teams for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting prototype devices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily defect resolution as the Quality member.
  • Investigate Production System issues to reduce defect rates and drive root cause corrective actions.
  • Implement the Leo Quality System through process development and launch mechanisms.
  • Partner with cross-functional groups to develop and qualify internal production processes, including Quality Assurance processes.
  • Conduct rigorous Continuous Improvement activities to prevent recurrence of non-conformance during assembly.
  • Perform audit activities to ensure compliance to QMS requirements.
  • Manage the MRB process at the production floor.
  • Review non-conformance and approve the disposition.
  • Perform Root cause analysis to reduce NC.
  • Lead the work instruction (SOP) for the quality inspection team.
  • Perform In-Process and Outgoing Quality Inspection for assembly process.
  • Drive inspection improvement process and work toward industry 4.0 standards for automated inspection systems such as Vision, Sensor based.
  • Lead problem-solving using tools such as lean six sigma, 8D, A3, Ishikawa diagram or cause-and-effect diagram, Design of Experiment.
  • Review NC on production floor and perform disposition.
  • Review rework and lead salvage process.
  • Perform measurements for quality lab measurements such as CMM, Romer Arm, Optical Vision System, OMM, Height Gage and other gages.
  • Work with Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection team and provide support as needed for both functions.
