About The Position

This role is responsible for establishing and publishing weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. The specialist will communicate and coordinate these schedules daily with Warehouse Supervisors to ensure necessary resources are allocated. They will also direct and lead personnel assigned to audits and counts, and provide daily written and electronic reports of analysis and statistics from inventory and quality audits. The role involves spot auditing unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel, documenting results in Excel, and interacting with supervisors to identify trends or areas needing corrective action. Responsibilities also include timely email correspondence and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 6 or more years of related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent audit skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards.
  • Highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 or more years of industry related experience preferred.
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules.
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily.
  • Directs and leads the work of any personnel assigned to the quality audits and/or inventory counts by the Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results.
  • Spot audits unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Interacts with supervisors and leads to identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action.
  • Reads and responds to all emails in a timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
