About The Position

As a Quality Intern, you will be working closely with the quality and metrology team on assigned projects for Keel. This internship focuses on developing methods to review nonconformance report data, identifying top issues for machine shops, and implementing actions to reduce their occurrence rate. A successful internship will demonstrate a reduction in the nonconformance report occurrence rate of top issues at the assigned locations.

Requirements

• In the process of earning a 4 Year bachelor’s degree in Quality, Metrology, or a related field.
• Analytical, good communication, and cross-functional team skills.
• Relevant coursework and academic projects, some prior full or part-time employment history.
• High energy, expeditious, ethical, optimistic/ready to help, and customer focused.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship experience or employment in a Quality or Manufacturing related field a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop method to review nonconformance report data that is semi-automated
• Use nonconformance data to determine top issues for machine shops located in Saginaw and Merrill
• Implement actions to reduce the occurrence rate of nonconformances
