About The Position

This internship focuses on supporting the quality department in various aspects of product and process verification, data analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will gain hands-on experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment and contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal communication.
Excellent written communication including grammatical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Must be able appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information and exercise discretion.
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Exercise good judgment in decision making, ideas, and all aspects relating to the SBLG team, Cardinal Glass Industries, and other company relationships.

Responsibilities

Assist with product and process inspections to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Support data collection, analysis, and reporting of quality metrics (e.g., product testing, defects, process issues).
Help maintain quality documentation, including work instructions, inspection records, and corrective actions.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Assist with internal audits and preparation for external audits, as needed.
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects.
Observe and follow all safety, quality, and company policies.
Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Accept more challenging assignments as experience and knowledge allows.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
