Quality Intern
About The Position
Rubbercraft is seeking a Quality Intern to support our Quality and Engineering teams while gaining hands-on experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This opportunity is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate pursuing a career in quality, manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or aerospace engineering. About Rubbercraft: Rubbercraft is a trusted leader in engineered elastomer solutions serving aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. Our team designs and manufactures precision-molded seals, gaskets, and custom rubber components that perform in the most demanding environments. Internship Details: This internship is expected to begin in mid-September and run approximately 12–16 weeks, working part-time, up to 30 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a changing environment.
- Ability to follow established procedures and solve straightforward problems.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Interest in quality, engineering, and manufacturing processes.
- Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Quality and Engineering teams on day-to-day activities and special projects.
- Assist with research, data collection, analysis, documentation, and maintenance of quality records.
- Provide support for manufacturing, testing, quality, and design engineering activities.
- Assist with quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of reports, databases, files, and documentation.
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while gaining exposure to aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
