About The Position

FORVIA is looking for a year-round Quality Intern for its location in Simpsonville, KY. The main missions of the role are to support the Quality Department within Faurecia, assist the plant with the planning and implementation of new products and/or changes to the manufacturing process, and work with Supervisors and the Production Managers to solve issues relating to the customer and other plant issues. The intern will also be responsible for coaching quick response and quality control, reporting problem-solving actions in the Faurecia Quality Systems, supporting the FES &P Manager and Quality Engineers on Faurecia Quality Systems implementation and changes, supporting the team on day-to-day activities, and interfacing and communicating with a diverse workforce. Other responsibilities include ensuring full respect of HSE rules and regulations, ensuring respect for the environment and secure internal control of the plant, commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to promote and adhere to Faurecia’s code of ethics and code of management, and supporting and following Being Faurecia values and convictions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Enrolled Full-time (12 credits per semester)
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA.
  • Prior industrial experience; preferably in automotive.
  • Proficient level in English (bi-lingual Spanish a plus)
  • Self-Sufficient.
  • Self-starter.

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suits (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
