About The Position

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Inspector Level 2 in El Segundo, California. The position supports first shift and offers full-time hours. The inspector will examine aerospace components, assemblies, and raw materials at multiple production stages to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. Compensation is $29–$32 per hour. The position requires access to ITAR-controlled technical data and/or defense articles, so the employee must be ITAR compliant. Candidates must also be willing to undergo a background check.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry or commodity standards.
• Hands-on experience with borescopes.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in GD&T and dimensional validation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and physical inspections of components, assemblies, and raw materials during in-process, final, and first-article production phases.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including borescopes, to inspect tubes.
• Identify workmanship issues and defects, including burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and verify that corrective actions or rework have been properly completed.
• Review shipping documentation for accuracy, including part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data.
