About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Quality team at our Coldwater, Michigan manufacturing facility. The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections to verify that manufactured products meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements. This position will use precision measurement and inspection equipment, interpret drawings and specifications, document inspection results, and work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production to address nonconforming material. This is a hands-on quality role for someone with strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to ensuring products consistently meet demanding customer specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and dimensional tolerances
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results
  • Basic computer skills and experience entering or maintaining quality data
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams
  • Must meet applicable ITAR and U.S. trade compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Previous quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Technical education or training is a plus
  • Understanding of GD&T preferred
  • Experience with nonconforming material processes and quality documentation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured components and materials.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools.
  • Verify product dimensions, workmanship, and characteristics against applicable customer and engineering requirements.
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain required quality and traceability records.
  • Identify and document nonconforming material and communicate quality concerns to Production, Engineering, and Quality leadership.
  • Support investigations, corrective actions, and resolution of manufacturing quality issues.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure required calibration and quality procedures are followed.
