We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector to add to our growing team. The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all materials, components, and finished custom HVAC units meet company and customer quality standards. This role performs incoming, in-process, and final inspections, manages non-conformance reporting (NCR) processes, and works closely with production teams to identify, document, and resolve quality issues.

Requirements

3–5+ years of experience in quality inspection within manufacturing (HVAC, sheet metal, or similar environment preferred).
Strong experience with Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) processes, including documentation, tracking, and resolution.
Solid understanding of material inspection and quality control methods.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection techniques.
Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with production, engineering, and leadership teams.
High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Experience with quality systems, documentation, and audits preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and purchase requirements.
Inspect materials such as sheet metal, piping, electrical components, and hardware for defects or deviations.
Verify documentation, certifications, and material traceability where required.
Conduct in-process inspections throughout fabrication, brazing, and assembly stages.
Perform final inspections of completed HVAC units to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Identify and document non-conforming materials and products.
Initiate and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), including clear documentation of issues and supporting data.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Track NCRs through resolution and ensure proper disposition (rework, repair, scrap, or use-as-is).
Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
Support audits, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
Provide feedback and guidance to improve processes and workmanship.
Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across departments.
